8/25/2021 Bird walks
Bird walks are back! Currently there are not enough designated bird walk leaders for a full schedule and we are still under some COVID restrictions. We are posting what we have on our website Upcoming Events Calendar, which is in this section of the website. We held a ZOOM meeting discussing our need for more leaders and have had encouraging responses. We will have more announcements soon. In the meantime, check out what is on the calendar. We'll keep you posted. Sid Webb, website manager

Membership:
Join Us! By joining MVAS, you become part of an environmental organization that offers a strong grassroots network, excellence in education and effective environmental advocacy.
Participate in fun chapter events such as birdathons, field trips, educational programs, Earth Day and Christmas Bird Count where you can meet like-minded folks!
We offer field trips and special events throughout the year, ranging in length from half-day to several days. Our field trips are led by local experts who are happy to share their knowledge and enjoyment with others.
Our monthly educational programs run throughout the year and include bird topics and other environmental and conservation subjects.
As a member of MVAS, you will also receive our quarterly chapter newsletter, Roadrunner Ramblings.
Members may also sign up to become members of the National Audubon Society. The tradition, purpose, and advocacy for conservation provided by the national organization are all reasons most of us become members both locally and nationally.
For more details of joining both, see the Membership form (PDF on this page).
Donations:
In addition to annual membership dues, we rely on donations to help pay for our financial commitments, which include scholarship funds, donations to conservation groups in need, and the annual expenses for keeping MVAS afloat. For those members interested and able to help us with a donation we are very grateful. You may use the Membership/Donation Form provided. Our PayPal account may also be used to accept donations.
